Life
Well...I seem to keep moving further away from California. After Nordhoff, I went to the University of Utah and studied English and Folklore. During school, I worked as a technical writer/editor which was incredibly boring, but living in Utah had alot of perks - off-roading in Moab, camping, and of course, Park City. I think I suprised everyone by getting married after my freshman year (no, it was not a shotgun wedding) but it has been the best decision of my life!
After finishing school, we moved back to Chattanooga, TN, where my husband is from. He is a partner in a distributing company that his father started 25 years ago. We bought an old house (our second experience with lead paint and old windows)in the historic North Shore of Chattanooga. That was 8 years ago and we now have 3 children ages 7-2. We are in our fourth old house, located in the Historic District of Signal Mountain; a mountain community very much like Ojai, just a few minutes from Downtown Chatt.

ime running them around to school, soccer, kindermusic and piano lessons - I think I may have turned into my mom! Along the way I have picked up a passion for landscaping, historical preservation, and entertaining.
Since none of the Southern States are as large as California, I've gotten to travel to all of them (except Virginia, which gets claimed by both sides)and visit almost every major city in the South. I guess I don't mind that I have traded Disneyland for DisneyWorld.
I was suprised to find myself married to someone who hunts, but am relieved that he doesn't wear camoflauge as everyday wear or drive a truck. He has traveled all over the world for work-related hunts and has been to such places as Canada, Argentina,Spain, and the Czech Republic (I had to tag along when he went to Prague).
Our family is active in our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We are incredibly blessed both in our family and friends. I miss being so far away from old friends, but I am glad that I was able to have such a wonderful time growing up in Ojai!
